Pan-European Privacy-Preserving Proximity Tracing -
is the initiative that is planned to be used in European countries such as Germany. It is an app that people download voluntarily to be informed if anyone in their close proxity gets tested positive for Covid19. Their slogan is "Proximity Tracing YES, Giving Up Privacy NO!". They advertise themselves to be privacy conscious. I have not yet analyzed their websites but I assume that they will only share their data with health agencies and not with any other third party. Of course, without enought precaution (and sometimes with precautions) this data can then be used for variety of other reasons that we cannot envision currently.
